Meet Dr. Hatt

Dr. Hatt was born and raised in Medford, Oregon.  She received her Bachelor in Science in Chemistry from Willamette University in 1987 and then her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1991.  She was then commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy where she completed a General Practice Residency.  After completion of her GPR, she spent 4 years as a general dentist providing care overseas and while deployed with the Navy and USMC.  In 1999, she received her Medical Degree from Georgetown University as part of her Dual Degree Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency which she completed in 2002 at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland.  She served as the Oral Surgeon at Camp Pendleton where she deployed to Kuwait and Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  From 2003 to 2008, she served as residency director of the oral surgery residency training program at Naval Medical Center San Diego.  She completed a tour as Staff Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, and finished her active duty time at MCRD providing care to USMC recruits.  She retired as a commander after twenty-one years of active service.

Dr. Hatt is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.  She is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the American Association of Women Dentist, The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the San Diego County Dental Society.

Dr.  Hatt enjoys practicing the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with particular interest in Dental Implants, Pre-prosthetic surgery, Orthognathic corrective jaw surgery and Cosmetic surgery.  In her free time she spends time with her husband Dr Steven Podstreleny and their four children Kaelin, Michael, Katy and Karoline.  Her personal interests include golf, skiing, horseback riding and traveling.
